Surface preparation is essential and crucial to creating a good bond between any coating and substrate.
The preparation is usually carried out via diamond grinding using various grit industrial diamonds, to prepare the surface for the coating application.
Diamond grinding is carried out using a suitable planetary grinder with either single or three phase power supply, incorporating a vacuum system to control dust. The appropriate diamond tooling is used, depending on the existing surface condition or the presence of coatings, glues or adhesives which need to be removed prior to the application of the new coating.
